TITEB is keen to collaborate with Tiwi Island employers, to provide on the job
training for new or existing employees. We will co-ordinate and manage all associated paperwork and administrative requirements throughout the training contract, which can be anywhere from 12 months to 4 years duration.
Where possible all training is delivered in community to ensure minimal workplace disruption. Off the job training is funded. When block training is required, we will coordinate all travel and accommodation requirements for the apprentice.
Host employers may be eligible for Incentive payments. Skills shortages, industry and qualification level, and hours of employment are all factors in determining what payments are available. We will ensure all eligible claims are made and forwarded to the employer’s nominated bank account. We can also provide HR and Payroll Services if required.
As the Islands’ CDP provider, we have access to a number of job seekers and can help with recruitment of suitable new trainees or apprentices. Prior to commencing their trainee or apprenticeship, candidates will complete a work readiness program, including an understanding of employer requirements.
