
TITEB is committed to keeping COVID-19 out of the Tiwi Islands.
With the appropriate health and safety measures in place, we are looking forward to slowly reintroducing all our services in accordance with guidance from the Tiwi Land Council, the NTG and Australian Government.
Even though the Territory restrictions for travel to the Tiwi Islands will be lifted on June 5, the TITEB programs are opening one by one and we will keep you updated.
Services for schools – operating as usual
Our School Nutrition Programs (SNP) at Pirlangimpi and Milikapiti, and Remote School Attendance Strategy (RSAS) returned to services from the start of Term 2, on April 20.
Education & training – recommencing on June 22
The Training Centre (RTO 4742) is returning to services for enrolments and existing students in Wurrumiyanga on June 22.
Community Development Program – awaiting advice
The CDP Employment Office and Activities are still waiting for a date for face-to-face servicing and projects to recommence. The Government has asked CDP providers, including TITEB, to make the necessary infrastructure and supply chain arrangements to resume normal service delivery.
