TITEB provides support to job seekers, helping them meet their Centrelink activity and reporting requirements.
Under the CDP, job seekers are expected to do up to 25hrs/week of work-like activities that benefit the community. Our aim is to make sure that everyone is relaxed, motivated and enjoying their time at work.
Work for the dole activities are designed to be as work-like as possible. Based on community consultation, activities are regularly reviewed and refreshed to provide renewed interest and opportunities. All three sites are well equipped to undertake high value projects and training.
Activities for men include building and maintenance, horticulture, arts and cultural activities. Activities for women include horticulture, cooking, arts and cultural activities. Many of our activities are hosted by local employers.
Job seekers also visit other communities to share ideas and discuss what works. This interaction boosts energy and enthusiasm between sites, and participants take ideas back to their own communities.
