CDP works for the community

Categories: Job Seekers, Pirlangimpi

TITEB CDP Supervisor, Patrick Puruntatameri supervises around 90 men doing wonderful work for the community of Pirlangimpi. The CDP Program has two parts – helping people find work, and finding ways for participants to contribute to their communities while learning work skills.

As part of his job, Patrick looks for community projects to help make Pirlangimpi a great place to live. Activities can take different forms and are suited to the job seeker, their community and the local job market.

Pirlangimpi men are proud of their work to improve community life. In late 2017, they were doing firewood runs for the old people so they could cook outside. They also completed a concrete path at the Women’s Centre, and a number of BBQ sheds and seating at the front beach for families wanting to picnic.
