2019 Year in Review

2019 was a huge year for TITEB. We helped 130 participants get jobs, delivered training to over 200 people, improved school attendance and served around 7000 school meals. We also supported 18 Tiwi apprentices to become qualified, six in Sports and Recreation and 12 in Community Services. We are extremely proud that we can help Tiwi people be qualified and confident to take on paid jobs.

We ran Work for the Dole Activities for 48 weeks of the year at all three communities. Together with our Host Organisations we will continue to do our best to find and develop projects that inspire, motivate and engage our participants.

A huge thanks to our Host Organisations. You help the Tiwis with your meaningful activities and we could not do it without you.

This year, we celebrated our 20th anniversary – two decades of supporting training, jobs and community support initiatives that have impacted positively on the lives of everyday Tiwi people. It certainly was a great celebration!

Our Tiwi Board provides the direction and vision, and our staff make it happen on the ground. We are proud of our achievements in 2019 and will strive to do an even better job into 2020.
