Thanks to our Host Organisations

Over the years, the activities side of the CDP program has gone through quite a few changes. From 2000 to 2022, participation was compulsory under “work for the dole” rules. But since October 2022, these activities have been completely voluntary.

TITEB has proudly continued to offer voluntary activities for job seekers in all three Tiwi communities. We’ve also kept working with amazing host organisations – some of whom still welcome participants into their programs, even if the numbers are smaller than before.

We want to say a big thank you to all our hosts, including Ngaruwanajirri Art Centre (pictured). For nearly ten years, host organisations have played a huge role in helping Tiwi job seekers gain skills, confidence, and valuable work experience – especially in areas like the arts and other hands-on jobs. In many cases, your support has helped people step into paid work and build stronger futures for themselves and their families.
