In August 2017, participants doing the Certificate II in Skills for Work and Vocational Pathways at Wurrumiyanga organised two-day camp at Cape Fourcroy as part of their course.<\/p>\n
Certificate II in Skills for Work and Vocational Pathways (otherwise known as Foundation Skills) is designed for\u00a0people who\u00a0need\u00a0to develop general education, language and literacy\u00a0skills to a level where they can get a job.<\/p>\n
Before the\u00a0camp, participants had to develop their own training program to teach us how to camp, hunt oysters and fish. They wrote down all the instructions and a list of everything we would need \u2013 camping gear, supplies and safety gear. We only took what was on the list.<\/p>\n
At the camp, we had to follow the written instructions to set up camp and\u00a0go hunting and fishing. We all really loved it \u2013 we had a ball.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
