Working with Tiwi College

Categories: Apprenticeships, School, News

In February 2020, TITEB and Tiwi College met for the first of many meetings to increase our support for strong education outcomes for young Tiwi.

TITEB CEO Maria Harvey and senior managers flew out to Pickertaramoor to meet with the new Principal, Jill Lees, and outgoing Principal, Stuart Ward. Tiwi College Academic Coordinator, Cally Jetta, Senior Young Women’s Teacher, Ashlee Healey, and Senior Young Men Teacher, Matt Godenzi, also attended.

We discussed further collaboration, including support for School-based Trainees and pathways for senior students to transition into real employment once they finish school. We will also provide transport for students from home communities to school at the start of each week.

We would like to thank Stuart Ward for working closely with us over the last few years and wish him the best for the future. We warmly welcome the new Principle, Jill Lees.
