Milikapiti Community has a population of about 450. Milikapiti School has an enrolment of around 80 students from pre-school to Year 8. There are six teaching staff and a number of teaching assistants working together in classrooms.

Preschool has three undercover learning areas as well as a large and shaded playground. Middle school consists of four classrooms, the admin area, the computer/study room, library, teacher resource room and the multi-purpose ‘Wonaeamirri Building’ for multi-media, ICT, creative arts and family evenings. The outdoor area includes a full sized undercover basketball court, a sports oval and playground.

The school has a registered kitchen where the School Nutrition Program caters for healthy morning teas and lunches for all students.
