TITEB provides support to job seekers, helping them meet their Centrelink activity and reporting requirements.
Under the CDP, job seekers are expected to do up to 25 hours per week of work-like activities that benefit the community. Our aim is to make sure that everyone is relaxed, motivated and enjoying their time at work.
Activities for men include arts, building and maintenance, and cultural activities. Activities for women include arts, cooking and cultural activities. Many of our activities are hosted by local employers.
Activities are designed to help job seekers become ‘work-ready’ by developing new skills, routines and confidence. CDP activities will:
- Help people overcome any barriers to work;
- Teach new skills;
- Help the community;
- Provide links to local employers.
Volunteering is another a great way to develop skills ‘on the job’ and feel like one of the team. Many job seekers have found that volunteering leads to paid employment.
